The Christian conservative bloc wont allow a female leader

They are now firmly on the outer after today. Look at the comments of O'Connor etc. Alfred Ngaro hasn't posted a thing about the leadership change. They needed to be cleared out.

Why so much hate for Christians?

No hate for Christians.

Christian morality as law (homosexuality, abortion). F$#k off.

The grubs who act as moral guardians (Graeme Capill, Brian Tamaki) don't help.

I guess you keep your views to yourself in the Middle East then. With some exceptions, Muslims hold pretty similar moral views to the Christian ones.

It's not my country, I don't make the rules or have any input into them.

There are many things in different countries I don't agree with but I don't have any right to change them.

Perhaps I could have expressed things better.

There are also Muslims living in New Zealand with the the same moral views, so it not just a Christian thing. However it seems that it's OK to just tell one group to "F$#k off".

Don't really know the new guy, but at least it wasn't Judith Collins - far too polarising to win an election.

No, any religion that wants to impose it's religious views as law in a secular country can go the same way.

Behave how you want, believe what you want, just don't try and impose those views on others.

He is a bit of an unknown. I heard his press conference speech on the radio. I thought he spoke very well. If he can carry through with the stuff he talked about I think he will resonate well with the average New Zealander. I think it's a good combination with with Nikki Kaye.

brownie112: Surprised why nobody has mentioned Christopher Luxon yet. I reckon he's as close to JK the National party ever gonna get this time around. Muller looks strong too.

I guess  you don't know much about CL then. From what I hear he is certainly no John Key. Not saying he won't do a good job but two very different people.

I think if anything you are understating the differences between Key and Luxon

I think it is far from certain that Luxon will be successful as a politician. Fyfe would be much closer to Key than Luxon is.

By a long shot. We agree on something

OT but I think we agree on more than perhaps may be apparent. The disagreements are generally pretty interesting and enjoyable.
