http://edition.cnn.com/2017/11/14/opinions/the-stupidity-of-donald-trump-jr-filipovic/index.html

By Jill Filipovic

"Another day of the Trump administration, another revelation that its members and associates have been engaged in behavior that would have been major career-ending scandals in any other presidency. This time, it's revelations in The Atlantic that Donald Trump Jr. communicated with WikiLeaks, and appears to have occasionally done its

It's hard to overstate the mind-blowing stupidity of this move (especially considering that the messages were sent via Twitter direct message, an unencrypted platform). Has Trump Jr. forgotten Anthony Weiner so soon?

Trump voters claimed to want Washington outsiders in the White House to 'drain the swamp.' What they got instead are people who either don't understand or don't care about the most basic of ethical (and potentially legal) obligations, coming from an industry where the focus is notoriously narrow and short term: Make the deal, whoever it screws

John Oliver summed it up best, by constantly referring to the Russian collusion scandal as "Stupid Watergate".

I get all the anger, etc, and I agree, but he has done nothing of harm to the globe, just to himself and his people, and thats his issue

"Trump Offers Condolences, for the Wrong Mass Shooting"

Trump, I know you know "many great words", but it's "have arrived."

With so many mass shootings, it's easy to fill in the template incorrectly.

That proud feeling when you discover our PM trolled Trump, and he was too dense to pick up on it. From this Newsroom article:-

While there was some interest before the trip about what sort of diplomatic incident Trump could cause, Ardern revealed it was almost the opposite.

“I was waiting to walk out to be introduced at the East Asia Summit gala dinner, where we all paraded and while we were waiting, Trump in jest patted the person next to him on the shoulder, pointed at me and said, ‘This lady caused a lot of upset in her country’, talking about the election.

“I said, ‘Well, you know, only maybe 40 per cent’, then he said it again and I said, ‘You know’, laughing, ‘no-one marched when I was elected’.

“He laughed and it was only afterwards that I reflect that it could have been taken in a very particular way – he did not seem offended.”

Hillary Clinton - 'What Happened' is a good browse at your local bookshop.    The part I really really enjoyed starts on P377 where she describes Election night 2016.    Early in the evening things were not going great but not horrendously.    HRC says she felt so tired & drained she had a short nap & awoke to find out things had really turned to soft material for her.

Although I have little time for HRC, I respect her work ethic, & it's obvious she has done a good job with this book even if she had some help with it.

Mueller just requested new documents from the Dept of Justice that could spell trouble for Trump

  • Special counsel Robert Mueller has requested documents from the DOJ related to the firing of former FBI Director James Comey and the recusal of Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
  • The documents could help Mueller determine whether President Donald Trump tried to obstruct justice when he fired Comey in May.
  • Comey was leading the FBI’s investigation into Russia’s election interference and whether the Trump campaign colluded with Moscow during the election.

There are now giant billboards calling for Trump's impeachment in Times Square

November 20, 2017

From now until New Year's Eve, for 10 minutes every hour, ads calling for the impeachment of President Trump will greet the masses moving through Times Square in the heart of Manhattan.

The digital billboards are paid for by billionaire environmental activist Tom Steyer's political group Need to Impeach. Steyer will spend $20 million on the billboards and television ads, which ask citizens to sign a petition urging elected officials to impeach Trump. "We legitimately feel that this is the huge issue in front of the American people and that no one is standing up for what the overwhelming number of Americans think," Steyer told Bloomberg Politics on Monday.

The billboards went up Monday, and the commercials started airing in October. In the ads, Steyer says Trump is a "clear and present danger" to the United States, helping move the country closer to nuclear war.

Seems to me that Trump really does want to be pals with Putin.

IMHO, he admires the guy's quasi-dictatorship and methods, and yearns to impose the same system on the D.S.A.
