Thanks, Sideface.

Trump’s Lies vs. Your Brain

Wow, that's a real scary article. Everyone on this forum should read it - slowly - and take it in.

It confirms what I've been thinking: that Trump is not only wrecking American culture, he's corrupting it in a way that will take years to fix. If ever.

There is one way that the US could be started on the path to recovery - apart from dumping Trump, Pence and the GOP - and that's to pass a law against lying.

Crazy idea? Think about it.

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

I was wondering earlier what God might have in mind for Trump and his gang.

Perhaps She's already started on the project...

Now, if Hillary would just get out of the way...

Wow - just wow.  The dark ages are coming:

The Trump administration is prohibiting officials at the nation’s top public health agency from using a list of seven words or phrases — including “fetus” and “transgender” — in any official documents being prepared for next year’s budget.

Policy analysts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta were told of the list of forbidden words at a meeting Thursday with senior CDC officials who oversee the budget, according to an analyst who took part in the 90-minute briefing. The forbidden words are “vulnerable,” “entitlement,” “diversity,” “transgender,” “fetus,” “evidence-based” and “science-based.”

To be fair to Trump he has not made any  catastrophic decisions like George W Bush did, such as starting two wars, and plunging the Middle East into fifteen years of turmoil, & costing the USA trillions of dollars.    If he can avoid war with North Korea & Iran he will have done better than Bush.

That's only because so far he's barely managed to make any decisions at all. North Korea is scary ... they're only miscalculated insult from a nuclear hissy fit on Trump's part. The Iranians are playing it pretty cool, considering how hard Trump has been pushing to throw out their deal.

The whole issue is incredibly complicated.   China sold the North Koreans the massive missile launching trucks.    Nth. Korea said they wanted them for timber logging operations.    I am no expert in logging but those massive vehicles look nothing like the logging trucks seen in NZ!     They look remarkably similar to the missile launching trucks the Soviets had in the 1980's.     Maybe Trump doing nothing is the best out of a whole lot of bad options?

Yes - but I don't think he wants to go down in history as the president who did nothing.

Unfortunately, his entire tactic on everything seems to be what he learned from Marvel comics, what he sees on Fox and Friends, and advice from Steve Bannon - all with the proviso that if it was something that Obama did, then it must be undone immediately - because you know...

One minute he's arguing that the time for talks is long gone, next he's firing Tillerson who called him an idiot, next he's endorsing the possibility of Tillerson having talks.

What an embarrassing shocker. Bit like Trump, I guess.

kingdragonfly: Trump judicial nominee can't answer basic questions

There is a happy ending to this story:

Matthew Petersen: Test-flunking Trump judge nominee withdraws

US President Donald Trump's latest judiciary nominee has withdrawn his name after failing to answer basic legal questions at his Senate confirmation hearing.

A video of Matthew Petersen's embarrassing encounter went viral.

"It has become clear to me over the last few days that my nomination has become a distraction," Mr Petersen wrote in a letter.
