Doesn't he seriously don't think:

  • Racist teachers will shoot black kids just because they can? (They already call cops in to take ten year-old and youngers in handcuffs)

  • Some teachers will fail background checks and create a stigma at schools?

  • Racist cops will shoot armed black teachers because "They feared for their lives" and couldn't decide that the white supremacis, crazy nut guy was the actual bad person?

  • Guns will "leak" into the communities?

Racist teachers could do that now.

Edit: not all racists are homicidal maniacs, of course.

I saw a report today that his approval rating had risen to 50% so someone agrees with him.

Sure, but they all don't carry guns.

You wouldn't want all the kids arriving at the same time so by use of smart cards the schools could reward students for going through security at certain times.    For example Year 10  8.15 am to 8.30 am and so on.   The schools could give out free snacks or tickets to movies etc.

Further to this idea - at the end of each school year the school could get a list of students who had come through the front entrance security at the correct times & the student with the best record could be given an Iphone and 1 year prepay plan by one of the local phone re-sellers.    It would be wonderful publicity for the retailer & a worthwhile prize for the student.    Having a one year pre-pay plan given with the phone would make it a good prize to win even if the child came from a poor family.    If there were several students with a perfect 'score' then it would become a lucky draw at a school assembly.

However, as the law stands they all could do so.

Rasmussen always over-stated support for Trump in 2016 or so Nate Silver said.   LOL.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee today, National Rifle Association C.E.O. Wayne LaPierre warned that the N.R.A. would vigorously oppose any legislation that “limits the sale, purchase, or ownership of politicians.”

“Politicians pose no danger to the public if used correctly,” said Mr. LaPierre, who claims to have over two hundred politicians in his personal collection. “Everyone hears about the bad guys in Congress. Well, the only thing that stops a bad guy with a vote is a good guy with a vote. I’m proud to be the owner of many of those guys.”

Mr. LaPierre’s comments drew a sharp rebuke from Carol Foyler, a politician-control advocate who has spent the past twelve years lobbying for stricter limits on the sale of politicians.

“Right now, a man like Wayne LaPierre can walk right into Congress and buy any politician he wants,” she said. “There’s no background check, no waiting period. And so hundreds of politicians are falling into the hands of people who are unstable and, quite frankly, dangerous.”

In addition to limiting the sale of politicians, Ms. Foyler said, it is time for society to take a look at the “sheer number” of politicians in the U.S.: “There’s no doubt that we would be safer if there were fewer of them.”

For his part, the N.R.A. leader ended his testimony by serving notice that he would “resist any attempt” to take away the hundreds of elected officials he says are legally his.

As if to illustrate that point, he clutched Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) close to his chest and bellowed, “From my cold, dead hands.”

I wonder if it was from "pried his cold dead hands," what weapon would have been probably used?

Do you mean which gun would have had to be pried from Chuck Heston's cold dead hands?

Probably one of those circular cannons with the 300lb ammo belt that made 'Arnie-the-one-man-army' so popular with scrap metal dealers.

Rassmussen, by their polling methodology, seem to have quite accurately predicted election poll results - by excluding those who feel "favourable" or "unfavourable" and counting only those who feel strongly favourable/unfavourable.  Combine that with election turnout of only 58%, and you've got a probably explanation for Rasmussen's accuracy, a sad indictment on US democracy, and a damned good reason to put effort in to encourage everyone to vote.

Only the brightest and best work for Trump ;)

https://www.techspot.com/news/73425-manafort-didnt-know-how-convert-pdfs-word-documents.html

"Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and associate Rick Gates were indicted last October by Robert Mueller for crimes including conspiracy 'to defraud the United States.' Mueller then expanded the charges this week in a new indictment. A former federal prosecutor described Manafort and Gates to the Washington Post as 'extensive and bold and greedy with a capital G, but not all that sophisticated.' One section of the indictment shows just how unsophisticated they were.

Manafort emailed Gates a .pdf version of the real [document], which showed a loss of more than $600,000. Gates converted that .pdf into a 'Word' document so that it could be edited, which Gates sent back to Manafort. Manafort altered that 'Word' document by adding more than $3.5 million in income. He then sent this falsified [document] to Gates and asked that the 'Word' document be converted back to a .pdf, which Gates did and returned to Manafort. Manafort then sent the falsified [document] to Lender D.

Manafort and Gates were attempting to secure some loans but decided to falsify their financial documents to try to get better terms. The original document was a PDF file which is not easily editable in that form. The financial document Manafort planned to submit needed to be in .pdf form but it appears that Manafort was not tech savvy enough to figure out how to convert and edit it."

Obviously Trump hasn't given any thought to this.

Trump has never given any thought to anything, besides his next pu$$y and who he's going to rip off next.

Anyone that thinks he came up with anything he says is deluded.

Even his tweets are just spouting the cr@p Fox put on TV when they know he's watching.

The guy hasn't had an original thought ever that didn't involve golf and gold toilets.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Donald J. Trump was reportedly “furious” on Wednesday morning after a purge of right-wing bots by Twitter left him with a total of fourteen remaining followers, aides have confirmed.

Rising at 3 A.M. to engage in one of his trademark early-morning tweetstorms, Trump was incensed to discover that his Twitter following had plummeted from more than forty-eight million to a little more than a dozen.

At Twitter headquarters, in San Francisco, a company spokesman confirmed that Trump had indeed lost 48,076,920 followers in the bot purge. “It turned out that over forty-six million of the President’s followers came from a single troll farm in Macedonia,” the spokesman said.

As of Wednesday, Trump’s fourteen remaining Twitter followers included his daughter Ivanka; his sons Eric and Donald, Jr.; several White House aides; and someone named Heinrich Himmler III.

“We’re praying that Heinrich is a real person,” a White House aide said. “The President can’t afford to lose another follower.”
