Thats why they use LV - Likely Voters and RV - Registered voters,

You will always lose or even gain a few, such is the realty of it all.

Im most concerned with young voters, they might have said they will vote XYZ but its about getting them to the ballot box.

I cant believe early voting has started, feels odd given Harris/Walz advertising campaign wont begin until after their Labior day (2nd Sept)

But I guess they know this like a science and reality is, its those last 60 days that stay the freshest in peoples minds.

RFK jr now says he will join Trump. Will that last 4% join Trump too? It doesnt appear so when you include Indies. But it certainly would change things if they did. But he only had 4-5% left in only 19 ballots, so it could hurt less.

I don't know if the polls capture rural Republican voters at all, but Trump is at risk of going to jail if Kamala is in charge of the prisons. Hunter Biden would be happy though.

This is a silly comment. Kamala has nothing to do with either, beyond the highly unlikely possibility of a presidential pardon for Hunter. If you accept her commitment to the rule of law, which I do, she would not involve herself in these proceedings. Trump's risk of going to jail is up to the relevant judges and the various legal processes under way. So is Hunter Biden's.

If he stays in it hurt Trumps worse, but if he joins Trump it appears to hurt Harris more, so it does still worry me. In trying to get a role with both is cringey but it might say something who he went to first "officially" even after that call recorded by his son to Trump. But Im waiting until post DNC and her campaign starting proper to see if the momentum continues.

She has a substantive +2.8 GE average lead. If that continues to 5.0+ id say its all over as its not going backward.

The other is unfavourability is now down to JUST +2.4, the most favorable candidate in recent time. Trump after bidens speech got down to +8.1 unfavourability, but his loose mouth and hate has him growing increasingly unfavorable at +9.4. These are two to keep an eye on to take t temperature of the match.

Monday night’s edition of the FlashPoint program on televangelist Kenneth Copeland’s Victory Channel focused on the selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as the Democratic candidate for vice president.

Guest Rick Green, an associate of Christian nationalist historian David Barton, declared Walz a “power-hungry tyrant” who is “perfect for the Communist Democrats.” If Green was hoping that would be the program’s most memorable attack line, he would soon be sorely disappointed.

That honor goes to “prophet” Joseph Z. Here’s part of his answer to his first question from host Gene Bailey, who asked if Z was encouraged or discouraged by what’s going on the country right now:

I believe very clearly the spirit of the Lord is making a way for the body of Christ to go through in this time. And you know even when we bring up guys like Tim Walz and look at what’s going on, people say he’s you know midwestern folksy.

I have another word for him, being from Minnesota myself, and it’s weird. The guy’s just weird.

You see the way he hugs his wife. You see the way he does everything. I believe the Spirit of the Lord is letting them overextend their reach.

No it didnt and wasnt just activists, they got told the crashing a party and best they get out while they can. So much for Trump trying to run a mini RNS up the road at the Trump hotel, Ive not seen much news about it. Thats where the Gaza folk should be protesting, the GOP would have flattened Gaza as per Trumps words in the Debate.

IMO Michelle Obama showed her husband up with her speech.

And this is the problem with politics in the US today: The far right is endlessly bragging over how it trashed the what-passes-for-in-the-US-as-left, and now the what-passes-for-in-the-US-as-left is bragging about how it trashed the far right. Great, I'm sure all your bros will be proud of you and you'll get lots of likes, have a biscuit.

In the meantime a lot of the country is living hand-to-mouth, can't afford medical care, can't afford to send their kids to decent schools, can barely keep a roof over their heads... but at least there's Youtube videos of your team engaging in masturbatory [*] point-scoring against the other team to keep you occupied while you wonder how you're going to pay the next rent instalment.

Its unsure it it was a troll gone sideways or not. But he has used dozens of unlicensed/permitted artists from Celine Dion in the RNZ (which she said was a weird choice for that "Heart will gone on Track" in her X reply to Bruce Springsteen, many with cease and desist orders. as usual Trump just refuses that NO means NO.

Last bit from the Independent I thought was funny live but supposedly its gone wild on SM, B Obama using a subtle hand gesture when discussing Trumps obsession with crowd sizes, I found it more funny was that live it was also a mockery of Trumps horrid body language and the hand thing, very much reducing at the right timing.

Former President Donald Trump responded Wednesday to the Obamas’ heated criticism of him at the Democratic National Convention, casting their “personal” attacks as reason to justify his own behavior.

“Did you see Barack Hussein Obama last night taking little shots? He was taking shots at your president and so was Michelle,” Trump said at a campaign rally in Asheboro, North Carolina. “You know, they always say, ‘Sir, please stick to policy, don’t get personal,’ but they’re getting personal all night, these people.”

Later at the rally, Trump polled the crowd: “Should I get personal, or should I not get personal?” The former won by cheer volume.

Trump was responding to former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama’s speeches Tuesday night at the DNC, where they abandoned their 2016 call for their party to “go high” above inflammatory insults and animated the convention with a venomous rebuke of the former president.

“Going small is petty, it’s unhealthy, and, quite frankly, it’s unpresidential,” Michelle Obama said to the raucous crowd. “It’s his same old con: doubling down on ugly, misogynistic, racist lies as a substitute for real ideas and solutions that will actually make people’s lives better.”

And in one split-second moment that made the audience go wild, Barack Obama went low — suggesting Trump’s size anxiety didn’t just extend to crowd sizes, while looking down at his hands.
