That said - the figures mainly suggest that Americans wishing to avoid a sudden death should eat and bathe more carefully and in particular avoid eating in the bath.

Actually the number does include 9/11, but it's divided by the number of years.

If it wasn't for 9/11 the number would have been even smaller.

It hard to say if the Las Vegas shooting, which isn't in the numbers, is the act of a right-wing extremist. For now it seems like the lone gunman is just a nut.

I'm confused - the number's are posited as annualised figures from a 10 year period. 9/11 was in 2001 (i.e. 17 years ago). 9/11 killed 3,000 people. 3,000 people divided by 20 years is a mean of 150 per year. If they are using medians, I could understand, although i'd question the use of a median to analyse episodic data.

Edit: In the primary source the probability data (chance of dying in a particular way in a given year) included 9/11, but that isn't the data in the table you pasted. You posted annualised actual deaths, not probability.

The numbers would look even more stark if you included some more obviously dangerous things like driving. Around 300 people die on the roads just in New Zealand every year. On a simple proportional scale that means about 22,000 people in the US.

At the Manafort trial, the defense has been stopped from questioning Gates about evidence related to Trump campaign finance because it potentially uncovered “substantive evidence” relating to the ongoing (Mueller) investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

This case is about Manafort not declaring income for tax - where the money came from (Russia / Ukraine) and what he did with it ($15,000 ostrich jackets etc) isn't the issue.

The alleged crimes he's on trial for predate Trump's 2016 campaign - so more is coming.

The noose is tightening.

Being the girlfriend of Trump must have influenced the decision of how the evil Melania got her visa. She was granted an "EB1" - aka an "Einstein Visa", reserved for people extraordinary in their field. She was pretty, and an ordinary but not very successful model, with no exceptional talent. She lied about having "a degree in design and architecture" - deleted the website when questioned - but it's still on the wayback machine web archive.

There seems to be a common delusion that she's a "victim" or the "good cop" against Trump's "bad cop" tough guy image.

Not true IMO - she's a very nasty person. The "I really don't care do u?" jacket, the "birther" interview:
