dejadeadnz: If Trump had any capacity for feeling shame (he doesn’t), the tributes and hardly subtle references to him in the McCain funeral by the various political figures are enough to sting for a lifetime.

Guiliani criticising anti corruption moves in Romania, as the populous fights hard to have a working democracy free of corruption. Crazy and immoral
President Trump's Description of What's 'Fake' Is Expanding
President Trump was bombarded with negative news cycles last month, so he turned to Twitter, venting frustrations and dismissing an increasingly wide variety of things he doesn't like as "fake" or "phony."
Presidential tweets about "fake news" aren't new, but August was unique in the sheer frequency of such presidential declarations on Twitter. ... [see chart below]
The range of things Trump is declaring fake is growing too.
Last month he tweeted about "fake books," "the fake dossier," "fake CNN," and he added a new claim – that Google search results are "RIGGED" to mostly show only negative stories about him.
He also accused NBC News' Lester Holt of "fudging" the tape of his May 2017 interview conducted shortly after Trump fired FBI director James Comey.

Washington Post - President non grata: Trump often unwelcome and unwilling to perform basic rituals of the office
[a long extract because this is behind a paywall]
Shunned at two funerals and one (royal) wedding so far, President Trump may be well on his way to becoming president non grata. ...
Less than two years into his first term, Trump has often come to occupy the role of pariah - both unwelcome and unwilling to perform the basic rituals and ceremonies of the presidency, from public displays of mourning to cultural ceremonies. ...
At his recent rallies, Trump has taken to expounding on his lack of acceptance by the “elites,” proclaiming it a badge of pride. And his disdain for what he terms political correctness is similarly applauded by many of his supporters.
“The thing to realize is that Donald Trump’s base revels in him playing the transgressive jerk,” said Rick Wilson, author of “Everything Trump Touches Dies”
Trump can’t abide not being the main focus of adulation.
“You know what is making Donald Trump the craziest right now is he’s not the center of attention,” Wilson said. “He’s crawling the damn walls because they’re running story after story on John McCain and he hates it because he’s not the center of attention.”

Oooooh. I thought he was trying to say 'buongiorno' but failing to Italian, and also, why would he be saying 'good morning' in Italian? That doesn't make sense... but it's Trump, so you can see why I would have gone down that logical path.
