Bloomberg - Conflicts and Investigations in Trump’s Troubled Administration

Bloomberg have today published an encyclopedic guide to Trump and his partners in crime.

Lots of good reading, if you have the time.

It is logically sorted by: Connections, Allegations, Status and also by: Trump & Family, Trump Appointees, and Associates & Outside Advisers.

Obama has given a speech about the threat to democracy etc etc.  As always it was an excellent speech but also as usual it was delivered with Obama's 'professor/bishop' type delivery.  In other words the liberal democrats probably thought it was wonderful, but to many in the USA it was another boring speech from the guy who talked down to them for 8.5 years!

I wonder how many democrat candidates in the mid terms are calling Obama to ask him to stump for them? In some of the states where the 2016 election was lost the sight and sound of Obama might just rile lukewarm Republicans enough for them to turn out in big numbers, while doing nothing to get the democrat vote out. Why doesn't Obama just stick to his lucrative speech making circuit? He's still acting as if he can't understand why HRC lost!

Trump has said that he watched the speech but fell asleep!

RNZ weekend staff obviously love the speech too - it's their headline story on the webpage!

Washington Post
"Obama's rallying cry for the midterms - and against Trump"

Excellent speech.

He's slurring his speech. He sounds like he's drunk, or perhaps on downers.

There was a rumor he had snorted cocaine before a presidential debate, in what feels like one hundred years ago

https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/a23023589/donald-trump-rally-montana-slurring/

The President's Broken Brain Was on Full Display in Montana

A reminder of what's really at stake amid all the op-ed posturing.

"...President Trump held a rally in Montana last night, and it wasn't an advertisement for his Fitness For Office. This is because he spent large periods of it slurring his words and wildly hopping between disparate topics...."

I'm not sure if he's got "cognitive decline" though.

He's always been a mentally slothful huckster / short-fingered vulgarian.

So Obama gave him a tune-up - and he didn't like it.

Won't make any difference to the morons, opportunists, and racists who support him. Idiots attract. Under Hitler they burned books, under Bush V2 they burned the Koran, now they're burning their own Nikes.

Huffington Post - More ‘Bad Character’ Examples Added To Trump’s DC Liquor License Challenge

The president needs to be “of good character” if he wants to hold on to his liquor license for Trump International Hotel.

A unique challenge by District of Columbia citizens to President Donald Trump’s liquor license has been updated to list even more examples of his alleged “bad character” that could threaten the president’s continued ability to have alcohol served at his Trump International Hotel.

Trump “likely committed serious violations of the campaign finance laws,” according to supplemental documents added Thursday to the original challenge.

He also made “misleading statements regarding his son Donald Trump, Jr.’s June 2016 meeting” at Trump Tower ...

“This new evidence of criminal conduct further supports Mr. Trump’s lack of good character,” the document says.

Plaid shirt guy made the news, less so for not good-looking enough bespectacled woman, who despite MAGA hat was replaced by an Ivanka clone for the blind.

So much Republican blonde.  Blessed day.

This week's "Real time Bill Maher" is great. It had Jim Carrey as the guest.

Someone posted the entire episode to Youtube, which is sure to disappear.

However there's parts of it on the official channel

https://www.youtube.com/user/RealTime/videos

During the show, Jim Carrey put his shoes up on the table to showcase his Nikes, saying he bought them that day.

“It’s a salute to Colin Kaepernick, to Nike,” Carrey said. “Congratulations, fantastic choice.”

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback was the first NFL player to not stand during the national anthem before games to protest social injustice.

Critics were outraged over Nike’s decision to make him the face of their campaign, prompting some to destroy their Nike products.

yet Nike sales were up 31% over the same time last year which proves that they know their target audience.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Washington Post - Trump and Giuliani are talking tough about a Mueller subpoena. But they’re actually revealing weakness.

We’ve seen it again and again: President Trump or his lawyers excite his gullible supporters with fake bravado about special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation (hoax! witch hunt! Mueller’s got nothing!), even as the basic facts about the situation betray the fundamental weakness of their position.

Trump’s legal team has argued that the president has the power to hire and fire appointees and the special counsel does not have the authority to ask him to explain those decisions.

Trump’s lawyers are betting that Mueller won’t have the heart for the multi-month court fight that would result from trying to compel the president to be interviewed.

It is not hard to spot the flaws in these arguments ...

Yes, destroying the products they already paid for. Good work there, dumb protesters...

I have seen similar flow charts in a psychiatric hospital ward, produced by a highly intelligent paranoid schizophrenic.

We know it was always about being racists... Trump administration rejected report showing refugees did not pose security risks.
