The Guardian - Donald Trump's unchecked hold on power has come to an end
Deep in the darkest recesses of Donald Trump’s very, very large brain, there is now a nagging feeling that gnaws at his braggadocious narcissism.
His own supporters are just not that into him any more. ...

I knew it, but CNN did call it too

@tdgeek, I'm not sure the GOP own a human, do they?
Give it a couple more years and it might be pleasant to visit the US again.
They need to find one, but the options of their demographic is limited. Old, white, male, racist, maybe look at KKK, not many options really.
Amazing how little Trump was actually able to achieve when the Republicans held the House and Senate. Now they've lost carte blanche, what hope does he have to push through any of his agenda? Especially considering what the Republicans did to Obama.
Re impeachment, I find it extremely unlikely they'd bother with proceedings unless the Mueller investigation turned up absolute proof of crime etc. Trump's core base are a bunch of rabid fanatics (Clinton's description was accurate) so there would be utter chaos and turmoil if they tried it on. Trump would go nuclear and that's not a good thing for the USA or the world.

Agree, but it would show the world and more importantly his rabid voters that they voted for a [GZ ban material word]
Try it on, rage him, he will crack. he gets laughed at by foreign leaders by being himself, anger him, raising it three notches. Embarrassing for GOP
So much for the Blue Wave. I guess we all know where America stands now.

So, he blames the media. He blames the Democrats having too much money to spend on the campaign
He also blames the Republican voters for not embracing his agenda, re the candidates that lost
He says they cannot investigate him, if they do he wont cooperate and he will investigate them.

So business as usual. Maybe the election is fake news and the Republicans actually won.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
His argument with a CNN reporter and another black female reporter, they say is indicative of whats to come. Narcissists cannot manage failure, so its likely that he will crack many times. I feel we will see less running the country and more fighting the media and Democrats (although that's been pretty much how its been anyway)
The New York Times - Russian Trolls Were at It Again Before Midterms, Facebook Says
SAN FRANCISCO - A Kremlin-backed group of internet trolls that meddled in the 2016 presidential election appeared to be trying to influence American voters using Facebook days ahead of the midterm elections, the social network said Tuesday night.
Just hours after most of the polls had closed, Facebook said it had blocked more than 100 Facebook and Instagram accounts “due to concerns that they were linked to the Russia-based Internet Research Agency,” Nathaniel Gleicher, Facebook’s head of cybersecurity policy, said in a statement.
In February, more than a dozen members of the group, also called the I.R.A., were indicted in connection with a far-reaching conspiracy to illegally influence the 2016 election through elaborate social media campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.

I'd hesitate to say the GOP "lost". The Democrats gained a modest but by no means landslide majority in the House, but lost seats in the Senate. They could use the House majority to make a lot of noise but they will achieve little or nothing substantive, and recent history suggests that making a lot of noise would backfire at the next presidential election.

I feel it goes deeper. Internally Trump cannot do things in the US, the House can and will block him. He can only have a free hand offshore, such as trade, foreign relations etc. So there will be a lot of noise caused by roadblocks, and by investigations, it will be messy. Offshore there is a great dislike of him, and thats the only area he can do things, so he may go hard on trade, get out of more international organisations (so he can say look what great things I am doing) and so on. And he will be continually angry
