What would be interesting is to see the Trump campaign for the nomination.

Trump started campaigning for 2020 on the day of his 2017 inauguration. No, that's not a joke.

The Washington Post - Trump’s statement smearing Jamal Khashoggi and giving Saudi Arabia a pass

President Trump on Tuesday pretty much erased any doubt that he wouldn’t hold the Saudi royal family accountable for the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi - even as the CIA has concluded with high confidence that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was behind it.

Of course he did. He had no interest in actual governing. All he is interested in is standing in front of adoring crowds.

So, there will be other nominees that need to be chosen by the GOP as well as Trump, to decide who runs for POTUS?

It'll be very entertaining.  Candidates have to stick their heads up and claim that they'll be a "better" POTUS than the dirtiest filthiest liar and petulant hater of dissenting views - to ever hold the position.  Or perhaps it'll be a set-up with candidates hand selected, who'll cede before primary votes are held, urging the faithful to support the god-emperor.

It's going to take a long time for the US political system to recover from Trumpism.  Trump has fostered hate for your fellow citizen, and that hatred is not going to die easily.

Exactly my feeling. He attacks Democrats, attacks other leaders, now he can attack his own peers. And his nominee campaign wont be about how he is best suited, it will be an all out attack, credibility and insult fest

I don't think it is going to ever recover to anything like a democratic system as we would recognize it in NZ.

America has been heading in the Trump direction for a long, long time (think J Edgar Hoover or McCarthy) and I have no doubt at all that in the future there will be administrations that are far worse than the current Republicans but are much more subtle and effective in how they achieve their goals and will therefore be much more successful in achieving them.

Thats a great post. Best to continue being dicks and corrupt, but lets go back to keeping it quiet, away from those silly other 300 million people, that we only need every 4 years

Stephen King tweeted...not sure how to paste it so just text..

"Trump condones murder, then explains it's okay for his daughter to do what he wanted Hillary Clinton locked up for. Oh, and his AG is a f crook. Impeach."

Simple, basic, but to the point.

Yes but nothing will happen. I'm happy to be proven wrong though!

It doesn't matter how many beautiful clothes and fine furnishings you wrap yourself in. If you have a black soul you will still have a black soul. That man is a sh¡tstain on humanity.

While reading Seth Abramson's tweet thread, I saw the name 'Barrack' in the list of possible perps and wondered who he might be.

Answer: Billionaire Thomas Barrack, best friend of Donald Trump and the man who chummed him up with the Arabs.

Illuminating read here:

I've come to the conclusion that whenever Trump says "America" he means "money"

"America first" = "Money first"

"Make America great again" = "Make money great again"

Here's an article called "The two-word phrase President Trump relies on most." Without any irony, it's "believe me"

Wonder who was feeding the New York Times? Sounds like he/she/they knew what was what.

To think many of us were looking the wrong way. It was much more about Arabs rather than Russians. But, most of all, we see the universal truth in, "Follow the Money".

We could add follow the power AND the money.
