Rikkitic:

When did being Republican come to mean winning at any cost, the end justifies the means, hypocrisy of the highest order, racism, discrimination and all the rest? When did it start to mean large scale gerrymandering and changing the rules to undermine the results of democratic elections? Where did the mean-spirited nastiness come from? What happened to conservatives with a sense of decency and fair play like John McCain? When did the Republican party become the a$$hole party? What happened?

A lot of people say it was since Nixon. It is worth noting that some of the backroom players today were around and involved with Nixon's administration as well. Roger Stone is one who springs to mind immediately.

Lawsplainer: There's No Such Thing as Collusion (It's Worse)

9 minute video.

"You hear often that there is no such thing as 'collusion.' That’s true! You can look through the enter US code and not find a crime called 'collusion.' 'Collusion' is a shorthand for a whole bunch of other potential crimes. What qualifies?"

The only answer that makes sense is that those repugnant traits have always been a part of the American culture, and have resurfaced because a new emphasis on individual freedom has led, via social media and the internet, to a total lack of respect for authority.

Trump's not to blame-he's just a symptom. What's really despicable about the current state of the USA is that Trump is admired by such a large section of the population.

Apparently the float has clever word play

The parade’s official website said that the float is called “Master-Drone.” In its right hand, the Trump statue carries a sword with a ring of blue Twitter birdies on its hilt.

The phrase dazi vostri – which translates to “your taxes” – is inscribed on the blade. Many Italians wrote on Twitter that the expression is actually a play on words with the expression cazzi vostri, which means “none of your f—king business.”

No.

In any US election, it will be close to 50.5 to 49.5  Trump won by winning support in the Rust Belt, and he also won by getting less of the popular vote than Clinton. He won by sneaking the right seats as can happen in any electorate system. Of those that voted him in, the vast majority voted Republican not Trump. he is lucky to be there as seen by his shock when he won. He got some support by poor and broken people who wanted something to change

Note the low turnout in the Mall that January

A tweet from the GOP (Republican Party)... "Stronger Together" was literally Hillary Clinton's campaign slogan (as you can see by the replies):

What a bunch of idiots.
