rjt123: I said student allowances ( in reference to accommodation allowances increased by $50 a week in a surprise move by the government). I don't recall the student population clamouring for that.

Furthermore I don't recall a particular furore about reducing fees. Or can you enlighten me...?

For the most part the election was fought on child poverty and dirty water. I'd like to see them put their money where there mouth is.

I don't recall the general public clamouring for more tax cuts - in fact they voted against them apparently.

In my view, the only good WP is a silent one.

Angry much?

No. I'd ask the same in return.

So - clearly you didn't.

Well, I said pretty good, not perfect. I don't believe it was well advertised at all. I checked with a few people last night in passing, none had heard of it either. Two were Labour supporters.

You seem intent on picking a fight. Knock it off will you?

I'm neither angry - nor intent on picking a fight.

Just bored with the echo chamber of unfounded hate going on in this thread.  Weren't you arguing in the Trump thread for people "not to worry - as he wouldn't do any harm"?  Hatred for Trump is quite well founded - in my opinion.  Ardern - really?

Many claim on here that national supporters don't understand MMP, which incidentally is a unfounded and false claim, but that is beside the point.

On the other hand, it is patently obvious that you have not even got a grasp of basic mathematical principles. i.e. 44 is a larger number than 36. I can explain further if necessary, just lmk.

Yes yes, he has ruined the world. I called for a little calm and to wait and see what happens. Turns out he is every bit the muppet he was during the campaign, but your hysterical and obsessive hatred of him is well over the top.

I have no hate for Ardern. I feel she and Labour made promises they can't and won't keep knowingly which is as close to fraud as you can get without being fraud. I strongly dislike the learn on the job way they are going about rui err running the country.

You are picking a fight. You are entitled to your opinion as others are entitled to theirs. Just because you don't agree with others there is no need to get angry.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Trump is a nasty individual, but unlike Jacinda he has been successful in life accruing a fortune. On the other hand Jacinda has not achieved anything yet. Sure she has become PM, but that kind of fell into her lap. I will save my adulation's for the woman until she actually achieves something either for herself or the people of NZ.

He's a liar, a scummy misogynist, and a filthy dirty liar - well qualified in displaying all of those attributes long before he became POTUS.

And you're apparently criticising Jacinda by comparison for having not accrued a fortune?

"Sure she has become PM, but that kind of fell in her lap"?

Really? What an attitude!  Sad!

How am I picking a fight?

By challenging biased uniformed views?

Whilst not in the same league of Liar, so far Jacinda has repeatedly lied, by walking back policies either almost entirely, or significantly. Look at Kiwibuild, promised 100K of houses, NO chance of that. Promised 1B to healthcare, 500M Maybe is the reality. There are a lot of them.

Heh, well that's kind of an interesting view to take. You being the fountain of all knowledge and unbiased reasoning?

The problem I think I have, and others likely too, is your confrontational attitude when debating. If you disagree with a view, is it not possible for you to present some facts in a pleasant and non-rude way?

If those are "lies", then they're in the same category as Key's "No GST Increase" lie etc.  I don't like failed election pledges either, but unfortunately that's normal politics.

No - Jacinda is not in the same league as Trump for any "character" attributes, hence the amusing reference to her as "the anti-Trump".
