New violent threats from Brian Tamaki Destiny are his latest attention getter:

Awaaz: [Tamaki Facebook]: “Let’s purge New Zealand of Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims. And while we’re at it, if they’re burning churches down, why don’t we burn mosques and their temples down?" he said. “Tit for tat.”

Tamaki seems to be preparing to do an anti-Indian protest against a planned visit by Narendra Modi to mark a trade agreement. I hope NZ Police swiftly arrest and prosecute Tamaki under every law New Zealand has against this evil statement.

Tamaki certainly is an idiot. Most Indian Muslims and a large proportion of Sikhs and even a decent proportion of Hindus absolutely do not support Modi and the contentious religious policies Modi's RSS Hindutva movement encourages.

He's also dangerous, certainly those reported remarks "And while we’re at it, if they’re burning churches down, why don’t we burn mosques and their temples down" should be construed as inciting violence and/or hate speech.

It would be good to get him summonsed to court to appear before a judge with a spine, who should order him to be remanded for a psychiatric report.

That process would likely show some interesting personality traits that could lead to a preventive detention order to remove him from society.

One can only dream.

This is one of the clearest examples of hate speech I have seen by a prominent person in NZ. He's also inciting disorder, damage to property and probably assault as well.

This is unlawful speech under our current laws.

He should be prosecuted.

That wouldn't happen. Preventative detention is for particular violent and sexual-violence offences. People with severe mental illness can be institutionalised indefinitely. Again, that's unlikely ads the person has to be likely to directly harm themselves sor other people.

I don't think Tamaki is insane. He's just evil.

I'm not Christian, but I did have Christian education. Brain Tamaki is the antithesis of Christianity. He's a vain, loud, greedy, spiteful buffoon.
