If you use the Westpac One new internet banking, be aware that it won't show some transactions for some users. I phoned them and they admitted this as a fact, and that it apparently doesn't affect all users.

- Westpac have no intention of adding a note to their login page about this
- Westpac have no status page for issues with their Internet banking
- They have no idea when it may be fixed

I was able to use their old internet banking and it does show the transactions, but they appeared totally disinterested in notifying anyone that the default internet banking system is currently not showing all transactions to all users.

I signed up for the Westpac Airpoints card as my first experience with Westpac.

I've found their whole online experience a strange one. Who else launches a new platform (Westpac One) but requires users to still use the old one as much of the functionality doesn't yet exist in the new platform? I've also found on a few occasions that l went to log into the new platform it told me I had to use the old one, and logging into the old one then allowed me to log back into the new one again.

Feels like there is some pretty spectacular hackery kludging going on behind the scenes to stitch together a pretty looking front end.

It does work well most of the time, and I really like the layout... And while I'm not really nervous about the real back end systems, their integration with the front end seems fragile.

Which transactions are you referring to? I can't say I have noticed any discrepancies - their banking system is horrid in that the closing balances are not displayed at each line item, makes a lot of difference rather than a daily amount

Heh - you have no idea how often I looked at this screenshot to make sure I anonymised everything properly...

The transactions that are on the right in the old internet banking DID show up in the new system last night, but have disappeared this morning. The balance is still right however.

Ah I know what you mean - I notice this behaviour in credit card transactions where money in debits would not be represented until a few days later (shows up being processed on a different date). It seems the old banking captures and displays transactions on date incurred on rather date processed.

I should be clear that the transactions DID SHOW UP on the evening of the 14th, but had disappeared from Westpac One this morning.

I received a call from Westpac wanting more details and agreeing with every single one of my points (should have a note on the site, initial helpdesk people should not have said some of the stuff they said, It's note feature complete and has known issues so shouldn't be the default client) but offering zero in the way of assurance any changes would be made.

Cheers - N
