I can't read the note but honestly even a small gesture that is also pretty neat of them to do.

@michaelmurfy

Maybe time for a change!

They seem to be a very good alternative to the other providers out there.

It actually reminds me of the snap! days

If I recall, they had this sort of stuff at shows for giveaways.

Chorus were supposed to come today to scope the installation for the fibre install at mums house, but they delayed it by a month because they don't have enough workers here apparently :(

Yeah unfortunately all Chorus installs have been delayed by a month or two.

Chch residents however Enable have delayed up to 6 months depending on the type of install

Can confirm, been waiting for my Enable install for almost 6 months, so painful to deal with, and skinny 4G suuuuucks during any normal waking hour....

hey,

I got an email saying my connection date is 16th May.

The puzzling part is that it says no one will come to my premises (I already have non-Hyperfibre, fibre)

So does that mean:

  1. my on site equipment is already XGS-PON? (how do I know whether I have GPON, XG-PON or XGS-PON?
  2. I'm not sure the specs of GPON in NZ or what it can maximally achieve, perhaps it can handle my 2Gbps/2Gbps Hyperfibre without needing to be upgraded?
  3. they will upgrade the hardware later?

none of this is very clear or mentioned on their website, that i could find..

Hey there!

Can you please fire me a PM with your account details? Seems odd that the email says there won't be a visit if you don't have a Hyperfibre ONT, so I'll get this checked out for you.

I see that article is under the "news" sub-page and was only posted a few days ago..
-I haven't checked the website since signing up two weeks ago
-and, when I signed up, that trial was NOT mentioned anywhere in the sign up process

Would love to see a public postmortem of today's incident - well at least as much as y'all can.

Great work on the comms on the new status page!
