martyyn:

I checked Container Door 10 minutes ago to see no record of my order.

But I have just this minute received a tax invoice from them for the XM4's and now my account shows an order with the status 'In Progress'.

Fingers crossed.

Came here just to post this, I have received the same confirmation email, and the order has now reappeared on the CD website.

This morning, my account updated saying:

The container is now full and your credit card has been charged."

Again on Cheapies

"Hi All,

Container Door here again.

Congrats on all the people who pre-ordered the Sony WH-1000XM4 Headphones $399.

We have secured more stock to fulfill the second deal. For clarity, these are brand new and unboxed.

Enjoy!"

Container Door looks incredibly iffy.

Their website really does not inspire confidence. Perhaps it's just me!

Seems a great deal if it goes ahead.

Little iffy being grey import, but being an NZ company they're bound by cga if anything goes wrong.

Only issue with that route is you may get a refund rather than a repair/replacement of a local store with stock.

General takeaway for me is I with NZ had access to the likes of Amazon to drive the local price down.

Assuming a similar price drop in the XM4s, the XM3s should be worth around the $300 mark new and $200 second hand by next year.

Same happens each year with each new GoPro released for example.

I swear I really cannot decide between the Bose 700s and the Sony xm4. Watched and read so many things and I get differing opinions on which headphone has the better ANC and music quality.

The only major winner in each area seems to be Bose in call quality and Sony in battery life.

Help!

After countless reviews etc I bit the bullet and went the Bose. The call quality bit is too important for me (use it at work) and the Sony just don't seem to have the same kind of quality in that one area.

If I wasn't reliant on the call quality I would definitely go the Sony.

Although having said that, I have been working and using my Bose for a day so far and they are fantastic.

Congrats on the purchase, I personally really liked how bose 700 felt on the ears as compared to my XM3, but I didn't think it was upgrade worthy due to cost - You can't really go wrong with either options!

Which single headset would you please recommend for the following requirements:

- Zoom voice recordings and conference calls
(I need to do this for my job, so audio quality is important)
- Wireless
- Over-ear
- Some level of noice cancellation during audio playback
- Blue tooth (so I can connect to my phone when on the go)

Does the Sony 1000XM4 fit the bill? If not what else?

Thanks very much.

Might pay to get some feedback from XM4 users...

Mine just got shipped apparently! Received the notification from Container Door.

The XM3 is horrible for calls - the microphone sucked. Supposedly the XM4 is improved but I'd wait for some real world feedback for your use case.

I use my XM3 for listening/working/games and a Logitech headset for calls.
