There shouldn't be a trade off in that regards. A lot of these "smart" features these guys are putting into their sets are half assed implementations that are more frustrating than useful. If consumers want a tv without all the "smart" extras they shouldn't have to get a "crap" panel...

this is a slap in the face!

Seeing a $2000 price difference between the PS59D8000 and PS64D8000 (on list prices)

I seriously think if you settle for buying the 59" you're going to sit down and have buyers remorse at not going for the 64".

Most retailers only have the 64" as a special order as well, would this affect getting a cheaper cash price when instore?

3 weeks ago I picked up my 51" for $3000. Around the same time a friend got the 59" for $3800 and I *think* they were going to sell the 64" for around $5000?

I'd have gone for the 64" if I had the space...

There is no way anything larger than a 51 would work in my lounge :D

I considered the 59", possibly could have without large floor standing speakers. That and it wasnt available yet when I picked up the 51" in early April.

I'm interested to test this judder problem you're having nzskater. Can you provide some scenes/example movies where you notice it and also what format you're playing them off

(60hz via PS3/360? 24hz via blu-ray?)
