Look:

Malpaso, I've successfully converted IR to RF in the MyskyHDi remote so can now run two boxes side by side, one on IR the other RF. They don't affect each other. Works a treat all round the house. PM me if you want details.

Please don't keep it to yourself.  Could you post a brief explaination of how you achieved the aboveSmile.

Think he's probably referring to something like this X-ray remote system.

Then you can have one remote as RF and another through your existing IR system. I believe this unit works with My Sky.

Thats the one. you just replace one battery in the remote with the transmitter and place the receiver near the stb you want to control. Works fine. Signal is RF so goes through walls, floors etc.

Muzza72: I would have settled just to see the game.... I have My Sky Hdi and I set it to record the game on Sky Sport1 and 'Chuck' on TV2. The plan was to sit down later in the evening to enjoy the game.

Guess what, the decoder froze and I had to reset it and lost both recordings. Not the first time it's happened.

Muzz sorry to hear.  Also hearing a number of people getting freeze/lockups.  Is the unit overheating? Is it well ventilated?  In last 4-5 weeks we have not had a lockup or hitch yet.  Now I say it , bound to happen this weekend.

And then Sky will do and upgrade and change the frequency of the STB's for the remotes or something because people have been complaining and you have just spent $185.00.

Can get these on Ebay for about NZ$78 but may need to get a new power pack when it arrives. Probably worth the risk tho!!!

It's Clevedon actually. I see spelling was not your best subject either, perhaps you should LOOK harder and read what I said. I was saying, maybe you should hold off until Sky does their upgrades before committing to buying something you might not need. Spoke to Sky today about the RF modulators and they also said a big upgrade is due in around two weeks and the HDi will be disrupted for a while for them to do it, so it might fix a few of these problems some people are having. Is that positive enough this time for you or do you want me to submit any comments to you for approval beforehand Sir.

Lighten up Francis, the weekend is nearly upon us!
