RS175 Wireless Sen's are $268 at Noel Leeming. They are fantastic I have had 2 sets (I have one I am selling second hand in case anyone is interested). They sound fantastic, are epically comfortable and there is no audio lag.

Anybody know of a place that stocks Schiit products? Their new Hel dac/amp looks pretty solid for an all in one, only problem seems to be availability since it’s relatively new (and because Schiit doesn’t have an approved distributor here).

I was looking at Schiit products, some were on Amazon etc, but seemed like the best deal including freight was buying direct from Schiit.  If anybody stocks these in NZ, I expect the price will be outrageous as they're well established in direct sales.  They're not the kind of product likely to end up stacked 3 high on the shelves of Harvey Norman etc. - so there's no incentive for them to offer discounts for large volume sales.

Anyone got experience off the Chord Mojo?

I’m looking to use my wired Senns with an iPhone and thought that might do the trick. Obviously can’t pop out to demo!

Yup. I have one. It does work. It seems OK.

I have an IFI Audio MicroDSD as well, and I was going to compare, but looks like I have a Dud unit and they aren't interested in honouring the warranty.

Interesting, I read somewhere that the Iphone cable actually has a DAC built in that is really good.

I'm not sure it would be THAT good. Also, I need the amp part too because the Senns need more bant to drive than an iPhone would manage.

The Mojo is expensive but is at least relatively portable and has an excellent reputation.

So I'd been delaying getting the Sennheiser PXC 550-IIs, and now they've had a big price drop? From about $600 to $400, does this mean there is a new version about to be released?

I only have the first gen but they are fantastic. They lean toward warm sounding and are superbly comfortable. Happy to loan you my pair and the chord mojo since I don't use either a lot.

Cool. Computer Lounge have the T1 on special, and also the Impacto DAC that was designed by Beyerdynamic for using with them and mobile sources.

I’m tempted!

Would then sell off my other phones except the Sony noise canceling ones for travel.

Gutted to see that Drop have a run on their Focal Elex. Jumped on it. “Sorry, this product won’t ship to New Zealand”

I had a Sennheiser HD6xx that I get from Drop years ago, but sadly one of the left ear wires seem to gone bad. So no sound coming out now and if try to wiggle the wire a bit sometimes in some position it will works a for a bit. But mainly stuck with the right ear working only.

Do anyone know where to get those HD6xx HD650 cables in NZ or else have to buy them internationally? Would prefer the 3.5mm jack than the 6.5mm since I mainly use it on PC.

Search for "Sennheiser hd650 cable replacement nz" and you will find some sources.

Cheapest in NZ seem to be "The AV Store" - Don't know them, but their prices seem to match well with Sennheiser offical retail price.

I see Fishpond have cables, but at almost double the price.
