I'm looking at upgrading my old HTPC box. I understand that the media centre pack is an addon for W8, which is free until February.

Has anyone used WMC under windows 8 for DVB-T? I know the EPG guide was always a problem, and I ended up rage quitting and buying guide hound. Has anyone had any luck with the EPG under W8? Or any other issues to watch out for?

I've never had an issues with windows 7's in built media center, but as W8 is the same price, I was tossing up between the two

Apologies if I have missed a thread on this already

I think you will find the EPG Collector is as effective as Guidehound - and free.

As for using Windows 7 or Windows 8, there is a previous discussion here in this forum. I suggest you read up that one and post any replies there.
