hola friends - wondering if anyone here has a hack remote I could use to make my panasonic DMP-BD81 DVD player multi-zone - I'm told it's a one time mod and from then on I can actually play the content that I legally paid for (!)

cheers!

Ill avoid posting the specifics here but a quick google very quickly turned up the specific remote codes that you can program into a universal remote.
or you could use an Arduino to achieve this very easily.
The remotes are also on ebay for the cost of not many beers

If purchased in NZ try asking the shop to do it for you. I have had them organise someone come out to my house after work to do it for me.
