My LG CX is wall mounted and the cables run behind the wall - the PS5 hdmi cable is only 1.5m long.

I am looking for a hdmi 2.1 cable that is around 4-5m and decently price - would prefer not to pay $170 for an hdmi cable.

Is anyone selling or able to source one of these?

Or provide an alternative?

Cheers

Ignore the HDMI 2.1 bit when it comes to cables, you want something that is Ultra High Speed capable.

I have had mixed performance with the Dynamix ones (including some of the "8k" branded ones), to the point I ended up replacing all of mine with certified Monoprice ones, albeit just the regular high speed version.

The only certified 16ft cables I could find that were the Zeskit Maya ones from Amazon, which seem to work and should hopefully come in >$100 NZD landed.

You can roll the dice with cheaper uncertified cables that claim to do it, but the longer the cable gets, the higher the chance of it having signal issues.

5 meters is the ABSOLUTE maximum for a copper based cable when it comes to 4K / 120 or 8K / 60fps.

After that, head towards a fibre / copper hybrid cable with a (preferably) powered chipset (via USB at the display).

Make sure it has the certification QR code thingee and not a fake QR code like so many cheapies that have flooded the market and caused massive issues for people who want to jam high resolution down their HDMI feed.

Basically, HDMI cables matter again...

Going cheap is never advised, going for tested / certified is!

I could probably go with a 4m cable but said 5m just to be safe

Guess I'll have to spend a bit more than i wanted to get something good. Will keep looking

It would be great to hear your feedback on it if you can, since I'm sure a few more of us will be wanting to upgrade soon

Do you have any initial thoughts on the cable?

I saw one of those @ JA Russell's, but the QR code on the front didn't link to the HDMI.org website... which raises my suspicions of the cable considerably.

I just installed a 10m long cable to my 4k projector and it works fine - 2160P / HDR10 / 60Hz without issue.

All for $37.
