Finally got into this century and bought a TCL 50P715, quite a step up from out previous thing.  I hung a Samsung USB SSD on it, and everything like pause live TV, and live TV recording works a treat...except for one thing.  Recorded live TV programs have very unhelpful filenames which, when you have a few Gb of stuff, will become impossible to use effectively.  I'm used to a DishTV PVR, which gives the files the name of the show recorded. Is there any way of automatically naming the stored files?  In the meantime, I've also hung the old DishTV on it, and am using that to record series, which seems a bit crazy.

I asked TCL, but they are ignoring me.  The manual is pretty unhelpful.
