Are there any TVs that provide all available NZ streams as channels for an Internet only installation out of the box with no additional apps required?

Everyone has Internet these days.

UHF cables and sat dishes are just complication unless needed in case of emergency.

The media companies want you in their apps, not watching open streams. That way they accessgate it with your details and can better target the ads.

Last time I looked (a long time ago), the various NZ streams did not provide as good a picture as the broadcast TV.  Has that changed?

That's a good point but SD is ok initially if this feature exists.
