RC4 loaded up and operating fine.  I stopped TV-Server before the update this time and installation was flawless.
Apparently RC5 in a fortnight and then 1.1.0 final a fortnight after that.

Installed correctly even with TVserver running for me. Will Likely wait a few weeks and then do a clean install of the final version. Not 100% confident that some of the upgrades I've done have left things in the best condition.
It's looking pretty stable though, runs a lot smoother than earlier versions too!

Glad to hear that, although 1.0.2 was silky smooth for me. Were you referring to earlier RC's?

Anyway, I'll soon have personal experience of 1.1RC4

Hey Dale.

Yeah, the previous RC3 was a little buggy when upgrading from previous builds with tvservice running (thus they released RC4 early) and I was having a few issues with RC2. Most of my problems were associated with streaming to other client PC's though.

1.0.2 is definitely a good build, but there were a few nice-to-haves in the 1.1.0 builds that I decided were worth running the RC's. Now its getting to the point where stability is very good and I'm looking forward to the final build.

But then I guess MP2 is around the corner as soon as thats done Laughing

Ive found RC4 to be pretty buggy so far. Its fixed a couple of faults I was having with RC3 - mainly the losing picture when changing channels but its introduced a pausing/stuttering fault every now and then - I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling - fixed it somewhat but not completely.

I also see some stuttery stuff happening with RC4, doesn't always happen, but it's there.

Oh well, back to 1.0.2.

Hmm. You're on Vista with a 4670? I'm running Win7 home premium, 4670 on 10.2 Catalyst drivers.
I had it run for about 3-4 hours last night, couldn't see any sign of the stuttering that seems to be affecting others.

Wonder if anyone has added this to the mediaportal buglist because its a showstopper for most!

My MediaPortal is running the best it ever has since updating to 1.1 RC4, mind you the upgrade also coincided with me finally upgrading to a decent graphics card.

Only problem I have noticed is that although Campbell Live records fine on TV3  it wont playback any video just audio in MP. The same files playback fine in Windows Media Player and VLC. All other programs on TV3 record and playback fine.

I'm running cat 10.5, what works flawlessly on 1.0.2 is seriously flawed on 1.1rc4. Can't be tolerated unfortunately.

And that is confirmed through GraphStudio? Does the file playback properly through GS? Or through another player that has its codecs, like GOM?

Yes GS confirms that and it will play back fine in GS and Windows Media Player and VLC, but only plays back sound in MediaPortal. What is even more bizzarre is that I recorded Campbell Live tonight on TV3Plus one as well as TV3 with exactly the same result. Even more odd is that the first three minutes of the program that is tacked on the end on TV3 news plays back fine in MP.

I am wondering whether it is in fact actually nothing to do with Mediaportal , but maybe something to do with the program that I use to grap EPG data with. I am using EPG collector, a program I got via a Geekzone forum. It grabs all my EPG data directly from the Tuner card. Well I think thats what it is doing.

Upgraded from a 1.0 version over the weekend skipping 1.0.1 etc. which didn't like "lower powered" IGPs.

I wanted to upgrade because the TV Guide was really slow to navigate around. This version looks good, but is a bit slow when trying to setup a recording. Gonna try this when I can...

Bugger. Patch in post is for RC3 and actual release is in RC5.
