I have just set up TVHeadend with a TeVii S660, however i cannot pick up any channels when doing a scan.

I have the LNB set to "Circular 10750" and added the Optus D1 transponders of:

12,483,000 Khz
12,456,000 Khz

both with a symbol rate of 22500 kBaud

Has anyone else managed to get TVHeadend working with Freeview from Optus D1 ?

You need linear not circular polarisation (i.e. H/V).

Is 10750 the L.O. frequency of your LNB? Other freqs to try would be 11300 and 10700.

I've got it working with TVheadend. I use "Circular 10750" and then just use "Add DVB network by location". It has all the default settings preconfigured for D1.

This is on Ubuntu 11.10

I have one of the standard Sharp 10750 Dual-Throat LNB's that Sky use. Does anyone else have any ideas on what could be wrong ?

Looks right to me, could be a signal issue. Are you able to tune Freeview on the same satellite with an STB?

I found half my issues were related to signal problems, and once I got that resolve the TVheadend part was easy.

I'm not familiar with the TVHeadend (looks nice) but I can tell you that Sky dual throat LNBs don't use DiSEqC - you switch between the satellites with a 22kHz tone. I don't know how you'd go about configuring that in TVHeadend. The other thing you may need to do is specify the modulation and/or FEC rate (3/4) for the muxes. The modulation value could either be "not defined", "not set" or "QPSK".

Yes, it works fine with an old DM500 and the silver sky decoder.

I'll plug it in to a Windows laptop with the supplied software installed and see if I can make it work, then work backwards from there.

Hi guys,

Thanks for all your help. I managed to get this working by modifying the dvb_satconf.c file to have a new LNB type that has a lo of 10750, a high of 10750 and a switch of 0.

Once compiled and put in place, with the custom LNB selected it now works perfectly.

I am looking forward to tvheadend 3.x where we can modify all the LNB settings from the WebUI.
