Hi

I am very keen on buying this laptop from PB Tech for $2039 (promo valid for 3 days)
My old ASUS N61JV running windows 7 needs to be retired.

HP Envy x360 15-ee0016au Flip Ultrabook 15.6" FHD IPS Touch AMD Ryzen7 4700U 16GB 512GB NVMe SSD Win10Home 1yr warranty -
WiFi6 + BT5, Webcam, FPR

It will be used for working on MS Office 360 suite, web browsing and maybe trying out FUSION 360 and connected to a DELL 27 monitor.
Maybe a bit of photo editing

My work provides the MS Office 360 and is good for 5 devices, and all office work is on Sharepoint.

My go to portable device is a MS Surface pro
I am not a gamer so do not need high end graphics but need one with 15"
It will travel to work and back and the weight at 2kg is not overly heavy
I dont think that I will use it in the folded tablet mode, but it does come with a pen

Am I missing anything as it comes with Win 10 Home  rather than Win pro?
Should I upgrade to Win10 Pro straightaway?

Have waited for the price to drop but with the worldwide shortage, they might not fall as much I would like to
I really like the aesthetics, colour,  style, and do prefer the gloss screen.  Previously I was eyeing the HP Probook G8 450

thanks

Wow.... your old ASUS has lasted well.

Prices are expected to continue to increase due to ongoing supply issues, which could last into 2023.  There are also a number of retailers who are concerned that their Christmas stocks are not going to arrive in time.  I'm encouraging our clients not to delay purchases, and to order well in advance of need.

The specs of that Envy x360 are very good.  We strongly recomment clients stick with business series machines with a next business day warranty.  If you need this for work and a 'send it back and wait a week or three' warranty won't cut it, go with the ProBook with the three year manufacturers warranty upgrade (product code UK703E, I believe).  You are paying a bit extra for the service levels and a generally better build quality with business machines.

Thanks @Dynamic

I think I will purchase the ENVY 360.

My ASUS was upgraded by adding an SSD and extra RAM , and yes it has served me well.
