Linux: @alsta put the handset into flight mode and enable Wi-Fi and try again

Just did that on my iPhone 12 Pro Max on iOS 16.0.2 and I can call anyone using wifi calling on spark.

Yup, it works

I find it interesting my iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 16.0.2 with an edit has wifi calling and is able to use it.

My wife also has an iPhone 12 Pro Max on iOS 16.0.2 with a physical sim doesn’t have wifi calling even with the option turned on.

Interestingly my iPhone 13 PM says “Connect to a wifi network or disable Airplane mode to make a call” when I try and do it even with 16.0.2 and the option turned on and when connected to our wifi at home.

Hoping Spark's VoWiFi experience is better than Voda's. My Voda work phone won't engage Vowifi until there's barely reception - pretty much have to engage flightmode to get it working - I guess it could be the phone....

@Aucklandjafa Working as designed - Not saying design is correct they should follow the setup as 2degrees

Hey, we just churned to Vodafone (after being a long time spark customer. Spark coverage at home had deteriorated and wifi calling was taking so long it was impacting my job) and found Vodafone's wifi calling excellent.

I set the calling preference to "call over wifi" on my S22 and it's been soild. Even with the preference sent to "call over mobile network" it locks on reasonably consistent when coverage is low. The handoff between vowifi and volte and vice versa is excellent

Have a S10 and A52 in the house which are the same. The iPhone 13 I'm not sure, but the wife is not complaining!

Good to know. I'm using an A22 - any idea on how to get to the preferred wifi setting? Cheers :)

Agree.  My 2D SIM works perfect on VoWiFi.

If you can't find it, download "Samsung band selection" from the app store. Load it up, select "more network settings " then "Vodafone NZ" and will find it under wifi calling.

I have it enabled on my iPhone 13 but I can’t make it work in practice.
