today my router resync and glad it went back to 19Mbps but still my attenuation is still too high.

Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]:

2,858 / 19,561

Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [B/B]:

0 / 0

Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]:

6.9 / 12.7

Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]:

56.9 / 23.1

SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]:

11.9 / 12.8

Spoke to faults team and they said that attenuation is linked with the DLM adjustment.. they did mentioned to call them after 7 days and they will dispatch tech if attenuation is still too high.

one thing that I still having prob is PS3 netflix still buffering and wont play movies due to internet is too slow.. but ATV2 works fine and can watch HD.
I believe the prob is Telecom speed to SONY PSN network is not good hence buffering..

On the Netflix buffering issue, I know you shouldn't need to, but for now have you tried lowering the quality of the stream through the website?

just called faults team and they still insisted that it is on 10 day training....
wow.. that is just too bad...

my ADSL was super great and the only reason I moved to VDSL is to get higher upload but this is just disaster.

we cant watch netflix and hulu with this speed...

Telecom, anyone can help please... your faults team is not really helpful...
imagine that it is holiday and poor kids will not be able to watch their own movies etc.

I hope someone can help please..

surely something is wrong with the line connection...

Ill'd suggest just logging a fault with Telecom.
Just accept the possible fees (If anything proven to yourself)

ISP's make a significant loss if fault not proven in Chorus's network hence they probably dont want to lodge the fault.

tech came in and checked line. it seem all good so he want to exchange to check speeds there and he got very good speed.

so he concluded due to distance.. i am about 1KM from exchange but yeah, getting only 6MB down.

Chorus tech suggest to just go back to ADSL.. sigh..  just cant believe others can get decent connection on about 1KM and not me.

anyway, I might just go back with ADSL...

It's just down to cable quality.

It could be you have crappy old 0.4 cable which is going to be rubbish for VDSL at 1km. Some people are lucky and are sitting on massive old trunk cables (0.8) meaning the DSL gets further.

I am also assuming the tech has checked the line for multiples as this is a killer for DSL.

Unfortunately I do not believe that Chorus are contractually obliged to remove multiples.

this could be likely the problem. we live in Brooklyn Wellington and street cable is underground (including electrical) which I believe been there for long long time ago..

anyway, I just need to wait 2016 for the fibre..  sigh..

chorus set to downgrade from vdsl to adsl tomorrow night.
just worried now on the new adsl speed... I hope I still get 18Mbps on my adsl.. otherwise, something is really wrong... possible mas splitter issue?

You should get that speed if not better with the splitter install... Any issues let me know.

Hope it can.

sighhhhh... and now my internet is totally down!!!

for some reason modem wont connect to PPPoE but could see DSL is connected.
called Telecom faults and they could not know what is going on!!!

really frustrated on this...

question: I am getting 19Mb/3Mb for VDSL but it wont last for 24 hrs.. is there any way this can be permanent on my vdsl? or this will just keep dropping?

Perhaps the connection has been reverted to ADSL and you need to configure your modem for this?
