This is a very welcome change for us. Miss 13 has recently taken to streaming music videos from YouTube, and this has obviously had a significant impact on our usage, causing us to bump against our 40GB limit easily now. This should ease the pressure a bit.

Yep, its Mr 13 and Mr 16 in our house who use YouTube like a radio and hence truck through the traffic, recently put it up to the 20Gig plan but noticed an 80% message 3days before rollover, so this will keep the the wolf from the door.

oh sweet, I was just going to upgrade my plan from the 40Gb, but moving to 60Gb for free is great news here.
Well done telecom.

In my experience the data use increases along wth their age, so the wolf may not be outside the door for as long as you think. Frown

I JUST upgraded to TotalHome Broadband +20 gig.
(Hey 4 kids = network usage), I'll take the extra 20 to make it 80, but I really wish the sale person had been informed as they have now locked me into a years worth of 80 gig when my average usage was 60. My original plan would have been fine given this announcement.

Happy they have done it, feel a bit let down by the call center sales person however.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Mr 20 is most happy with this news. It would also seem, therefore, that Steam will be happy with this news.

Hopefully 100GB a month will be enough for him!

Laughing No show.
With increased bandwidth cap comes increased usage as they don't get hastled earlier.

Nothing stopping you from changing back down to your original plan, you are not locked into the +20GB, just the base package Laughing

Good news! Extra 20 gig will help with the overage costs.

Interesting, It's not how the sales person/call center person explained it to me when I signed up.
Will have to see if I can get someone from Telecom on the phone who knows exactly what the story is.

It says that it starts on 1st Aug, but my plan rolls over on the 14th-15th, when do I get this extra data?
