We opted in: Submitted the order on a Friday afternoon and received the activation email on Monday afternoon. Tested via the Spark BB speed test and received 104Mbps Down / 22Mbps Up. Landline still operational too. Well done guys! Very quick.
I got mine about 5 days after the request but am only seeing 75/20 with my HG630b. Restarting ONT/router did not affect that.
My sister nearby gets 92/17 and has the newer router.
Chatting with Spark and they are sending a new router, great result!
testing over wifi or ethernet?

Ethernet. But, thinking further, I did some more tests and found I do get 94 if I disconnect all other LAN traffic from passing through the router's switch. I still need a gigabit router to avoid the bottleneck and I've had the old one long enough.
Got my new HG659b and replaced the HG630b and surprising got less, only 53. With further troubleshooting I eventually found a mis-wired RJ45 and am up to 105 now. Good result and my WiFi is faster as well, with the 5GHz addition.
Another minor unrelated issue is that I had set my DHCP lease to 'permanent' and although my IPhone 5C connected to the WiFi, it failed to obtain an IP until I set the lease period back to 1 week.

It would be interesting to know the length of time and location it is taking for people's UFB upgrades to be taking. I see a number of people of commented on the number of days it has taken but not their location....
I am coming upto 2 weeks this weekend (North Shore) and no sign of my data plan being upgraded to 'unlimited' let alone anything on the speed change.
Mind you I did sign up for the landline phone change over to fibre in early November (or was it October) and received the cordless phone 7th December then nothing happened. Had to sign up again (and got offered another phone) before the job was actioned over a week ago. Would have thought the jobs would have been done at the same time.
Also upgraded to a 'broadband & mobile bundle' which saves $10 a month - couldn't be done initially as there was another job logged for my phone number so seems only one job can be done at a time?
Must be time to crack open a cold one!
Update - Now 3 weeks since I signed up for unlimited broadband and UFB upgrade from 30/10 to 100/20. Technically that is 3 calendar weeks and one could argue it isn't 15 business days but Spark does provide a service 7 days a week...
Still no change in data cap or change in speed (or any update regarding the works). Got a reply to an email sent on Friday yesterday saying there was a mixup and they are investigating. Now they want to know whether I want copper landline re-instated or naked broadband! Responded that I want neither as the switch from copper to fibre landline had been completed. Just want datacap and speed upgraded - didn't think it was that complicated!
Finger crossed for this week although I will not be holding my breath!
Update - Now approaching 5 weeks and Spark have managed to remove my data cap earlier this week. Apparently there is 'an issue in the system' regarding the UFB speed upgrade. That would the understatement of the week!
I see they are also advertising this offer on TV now which is a slap in the face when they are struggling to provide the service. Even if they are reliant on a third party to carry out work it is a poor reflection of their brand.
This offer is in part linked to a Chorus promotion to all RSP's for a free change plan from 30 to 100 plans.
As for the pricing, the glide path from CFH through to 2020 if for the 30 plans to increase $1 per year and 100 plans to decrease $10 per year.

I asked about the hg630b issue to online chat this morning, and the Broadband team called back later. After explaining the issue they are now swapping it for a hg659 for no cost.
I'm in the same boat. Asked last year for a free swap - was told no. :(
Will ask again.

Well that was quick and easy! Online chat, then immediate callback, new Router coming next week. It's the small things that count, well done Spark!
rugrat: With the hg659 I can just get above 100 Mbps on iphone 6.
All other devices around 40 - 50 Mbps on wifi, even the ones that do 5ghz frequency, guessing even though can do higher frequency they're not 802.11 ac like the iphone.
Perhaps, but there's a lot of other variables at play that could account for the difference.

I was sent a new HG695B router after complaining to tech support about slow speeds (with the old HG630) and now have been billed $213.95 despite not being told at the time that it was at my cost.
Sweet!
They've asked for the old Router back, with return courier bag, which is fair enough I guess.
Spark sent me the new router without mentioning any charge, then charged me ~$200.
Despite being OK with paying for it since in the end it was technically my fault, I queried that and despite receiving no reply I see now they have credited me for that payment. I certainly now have WiFi that is a better match with the 100/20.
Despite occasional difficulties in communications with Spark, they have provided excellent service overall and everything is working well now.

What is the difference/s between the HG630b and the HG659b routers?
When I joined Spark (pre-fibre) I was given one HG630b then when I upgraded to fibre I was given another HG630b so I now have a spare. I am on 100/30 plan.
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
