Sounds like your speed isn't related IMO.

Keep in mind that all Bigpipe traffic goes via Auckland. Testing to Wellington means the traffic will be going up and down the country, outside of Bigpipe's network.

What speeds do you get direct from the ONT?

What do packet loss stats look like from pathping? Probably best for you to check in with Bigpipe again.

Thanks! Will be running basic speedtest.net to Auckland through the ONT directly and pass the logs to BigPipe.

Tested directly to ONT. Results not consistent.

Logs sent to BigPipe.

Were all of those tests to the Auckland Spark server? Not all of the speedtest.net serves have equal connectivity. See an example here: https://my.buket.pw/jnaykaid.mp4

Anyhow, sent speedtest logs and traceroutes capturing smh.com.au, trademe, google and nzherald to BigPipe. All tracer and logs captured by connecting directly to the ONT. Issue forwarded to Chorus to investigate now.

My internal network speed using iperf from the router on the ground floor to a 10/100 Switch on the first floor between two laptops averages 93 mbps.

I just want to get my money's worth and have something near 100/20 even though I may not get what TrueNet reported for Spark 100M subscribers at 97% of advertised speed at 9pm.

Hope its not just me but is anyone else getting their bigpipe ufb dropping out again? It has been great ever since they did whatever they did to fix it that friday a week ago. This morning i woke to no internet. Have reset the router - worked for around a minute then died. Reset the dns on the router to bigpipe. Reset the router ad it worked for another minute then died again. Its looking a lot like last time.

Have just noticed i am seeing a 'sorry you are not a bigpipe subscriber' message on a web page. Cant see any reason they couldnt have charged my credit card. What is going on?

Heads up: after overnight work by Chorus some Bigpipe customers are experiencing an outage. Our network engineers are looking in to it now 7:19 AM - 8 Jun 2016

Hey all - as per that tweet we're experiencing an outage at the moment after Chorus did some work last night. Seems to be restricted to Auckland. We'll be updating via Facebook and Twitter as we get more information, but we'll drop in here as we can to keep you updated as well.

In Mt Eden and affected here too - my UFB has been bouncing up and down since early this morning. I'm glad to see your post as I was suspecting my router while troubleshooting before I left for work this morning.

Before today my connection had been rock solid and I hadn't had any of the issues discussed earlier in the thread.

Mt Eden for me as well.

Worst part with Fiber is that it *should* be really solid - so when something goes wrong I tend to automatically assume its my problem.Especially when its something intermittent.

Was most odd in one period where it worked for a few seconds - my wife was playing with her ipad and said - this page says that we arent a Bigpipe subscriber - A web page had come up with that message and a 'join now' button - got me thinking somehow there was some sort of account lock out going on - havent seen that page since though. At work now- hope it gets resolved ok.

Not just fibre in central Auckland that's experiencing difficulty - VDSL dead here in South Auckland for over an hour.

Bigpipe have tweeted that the issue is resolved. My connection's been up for a few hours now, fingers crossed it stays that way :)
