tardtasticx: There is no way you'd have a negative balance if we left. You guys over charge us so much its ridiculous. We pay you guys for our internet (pro 40gb) + total home + mobile + a tivo and thats close to $180+ a month and all we've gotten from you was a modem when we signed up for the 1GB broadband plan donkeys years ago and the cheap plastic thomson modem you hand out when we signed for 24months early this year.
I assume your internet works reliable and is up most of the time, your mobile works wherever you are in NZ, your TiVo records your favourite programs without you having to worry.
Reliable products cost money, not only from having good hardware, but also the clever boffins who run it. You are not just getting a Thomson modem, you're getting good, stable services.
Call me a Telecom fanboy if you will, but their products work, and they work well. I've been with Vodafone (and still am for my mobile) and Snap, both of who, I felt, had inferior broadband, so I'swapped to Telecom. While Telecom continue to give me good and reliable service, I'll keep giving them my money. If the quality drops, or I feel I can get a better deal elsewhere, I'll move to another provider. Easy.
