This is rather amusing. :D

Ventrilo is usable today. I get the odd lag every now and then, but it appears to work good. Anything national performs as per usual. International traffic seems ok today too. I can't wait for that memory issue to be fixed! :)

Not sure if I'm repeating old information here (wasn't going to read all 60odd pages worth)
But anyway we're on Big Time now and are often experiencing the same trouble with sites not loading or emails not sending. Sometimes I need to hit refresh a few times but it does go through in the end.

A big problem I see is that sadly the standard Helpdesk are far from helpful. As soon as you mention the words "Big Time" any and all speed related complaints you have are treated as what you get with Big Time.
This would be true if we were to be complaining about torrent speeds or online gaming but not general web browsing or trying to send an email. Things that Big Time is supposed to be prioritised to favour

2nd Tier support though we've found to be very good (provided you make it that far - another story though)
We were told the Speed/latency issues are caused by a known fault inside NetGate where there's a router which is messing with packets. Should any be directed at it they get messed over with which leads the inveitable stalled webpages.
Additionally it seems whether you reach that router or not depends on what PPP link you happen to be on

They also mentioned it's affecting both Big Time and Broadband Pro customers. So when the Telecom technicians say they're working on it, wanting it resolved I'd believe them. If not for them them simply wanting problems solved then wanting them solved because it's affecting their Pro customers as well

It's affecting ALL of their Broadband customers it would seem:

I recently went from BT back to Adventure...

There is absolutely NOTHING any of us can do until Telecom sorts it out. We can log calls and emails until we are blue in the face but I am now convinced that it will be 'fixed when it's fixed'. If there was another genuine BB option in NZ, I'd try it. So far, I have not found one...
