i sold mine about a year ago, but from memory:
if you're running the stock 2.1 then no
if you're running the stock 2.2 yes but i could never get it to work
if you root and run cyanogenmod 7 then yes

Cheers, that will explain it. Was trying to talk a non tech friend through it on the phone, wheels kept falling off.
So did 2.2 get rolled out by default.

from memory it was officially released, but you still had to actively check for and install the update
