I recently switched to Telecom for landline and internet. It's been a very satisfactory so far. I signed up on one of their deals for 12 months, got a month free, new modem etc. I was then pleasantly suprised when a month in, they upped the data cap to 80gb which is more than we currently need, but is very nice none-the-less. The rep on the phone when I initiated the changeover was very good, clear communication etc. The change-over went smoothly, and I was informed as it was happening. I get slightly slower speedtest results than I did with Orcon, about .5Mbps less, which I had expected anyway because of the way the synch differently (or something like that - I forget the techinical details). The actual usable speeds have been much better though. We noticed a lot of slow downs, particaulrly in peak times with Orcon recently, but Telecom has been a lot better. The only minor thing that I'm missing is caller ID. I was willing (although a little grudgingly) to pay the extra few dollars a month, but the service was not available at my exchange.
All-in-all it's been a very positive experience.
