..doesnt appear to work.

Backed up configuration (user.ini) to PC. 

Did a factory reset of the Technicolor TG582n and then went to restore configuration. Progress bar goes from left to right and then nothing, just goes back to the Home tab.

Tried rebooting Technicolor TG582n via the webUI. Nothing.

Any ideas?

I ended up FTP user.ini from the command line.

Rather than restart Technicolor TG582n from webUI.

Turned it off using the physical switch at the back of the Technicolor TG582n and back on.
Config took.

That was a close one!

A factory reset should be all you need. The router shouldn't need anything else apart from that.
