Hey guys had to do a complete re install on my media server this morning and for some reason I cannot  connect to the net with it if I set the machines ip address. It connects to the modem ok and I get the ip I want which is 192.168.1.100 but no net access, I have tried every combination for the default gateway section 115.188.64.1 (as stated in the modems ui) , also tried 192.168.1.254 but none of these is working.
Is there a way to assign an ip address to a machine via the modem at all (cannot find an option for this) , I used to be able to set an ip address by the mac address on my old modem but cannot seem to find this sort of option on this new one.

The default gateway and DNS server should be the IP of the router - eg 192.168.1.254
