Have to do multiple attempts to download email. Pop3 server is not responding.

Also having trouble sending, think one went as not showing in out box, but sent box. Another one is test to myself to gmail, but it keeps failing to send.

On ipad settings for sending are stmp: send.xtra.co.nz
Use ssl is set to on
Authantication password
Server port 465

Did read telecom retiring stmp, but I can't see anywhere else on ipad to set up settings for outgoing mail.

Now at present won't download anything, just trying to move sky over to gmail and then I think I've got everything important moved off telecoms/yahoo's email as find gmail mail more reliable, easier to use.

Yep - same user symptoms as two weeks ago see forum 148804 1-Jul-2014 13:24
As usual - "no problems" on the status page.
Can someone put a spark under them please.

Yes it is an ongoing problem discussed on this thread http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=148804&page_no=4#1088561 . Telecom management really need to do something about this urgently I think.
