So I updated to Beta 4 this morning, OTA, and noticed this has changed.

I thought the change wasn't supposed to happen until august?

Are other telecom users that aren't on the beta seeing this, I don't have another phone with me to test.

Not me, I'm not on iOS 8, 5S, and cellular iPad Air show Telecom. iOS 8 carrier update is, updated.

Since iOS 8 also doesn't get publicly released until August this is a bit of a non-issue, right?

I never said it was an issue, I was more curious as to whether it was related to the beta or just a coincidence that it changed when I got the beta4 update. My post does say that.

I thought the carrier labels come directly from the SIM? Huh, TIL.

Is it the same for Android?

Carrier labels on iOS come from the Carrier Bundle IPSW package, so presumably Apple devs know about the pending change and are just getting it out of the way.

Quick question: What is the modem firmware version in the 'settings' -> 'general' -> 'about'? notice any improvements when it comes to signal strength, call quality etc?

Modem Firmware: 7.02.12

Haven't noticed anything drastic. 4G seems to be slightly slower recently but that's probably due to the beta.
