Hi All,

So, I made a switched to bigpipe on the 22/10. The switching process went good, with the online support I was able to get my Internet up and running.

Now, the issues that I'm now experiencing are:

1. Slow download speed, not speedtest, download.
As per instructed i did a speedtest at Auckland Spark server went with 100-100Mbps (wired), download at mega with an IDM 3MB-3.5MB (same speed as 30 Mbps connection from SNAP).

Torrenting resulted roughly the same speed

2. Keep disconnecting

I can't seem to download files more than 10-15 seconds, it just keep disconnecting, and this is affecting services the likes of unotelly as well.

Now the modem that I got is Fritz box 7340, I got this from Snap, and I can't seem to find the page about my line or my dsl information.

Now, are you guys experiencing any of this issue?Would you mind giving me help?

Other people may want to help in this thread too, so can you confirm a couple of things please

1) what plan you are on with Bigpipe
2) did the issues suddenly start after a period of good service, or been like that since day 1 of your plan
3) Regarding the speeds, have you tried a download from a source that you know can cope with high speed downloads - Steam is generally a good test. Torrenting is going to depend on how well seeded your torrent is - it's quite possible that a given torrent simply isn't seeded well enough to get over 3-4MB/s
4) Regarding the disconnections, is it just that the download stops, or does the whole internet go down? (i.e. when the download stops, does all web browsing also stop?)
5) I see you mention you use Unotelly. Does this also happen when you disable unotelly and use our DNS?

Hi,

Thank for replying back, I've raised ticket for this issue, the tech support reply back almost immediately (great job btw).

So,

1. My plan is 100/20

2. The connection was dropped since 2 days ago, till this morning, it was fine couple of days ago.

3. Actually the tech support gave me a link to download from , that came back just great 10-13 MB using IDM, and tried to download the youtube video that came great as well 7 -9 MB, haven't try to download from MEGA again, but I'll do that shortly

4.As for the disconnection I found out that possibly the damn fritzbox that is doing it. I've tried downloading a file on a mac, the connection dropped but the wired connection still going, so I don't know what happened there.

5. Unotelly is setup on the device level, not on the router, and that is only for ps4/iOS devices, but you kinda can tell when the Internet changes, on their website.

So, yea I've tried downloading again from Wi-fi, roughly stopped on 15-20 second mark, no idea what causing it.
