Have any dates been published for UFB availability outsie of Auckland.

Now that we have UFB in our street I'm looking for fibre and would like to investigate staying with Bigpipe.

No dates have been published.

This requires putting a PoP/Handover in each geographical region, and backhaul to bring it back into their network. It's not a small task and not a decision which is made lightly due to the investment and network planning required.

Wellington will likely be next. After that it's hard to say since Hamilton and Christchurch are naturally the next two large choices. However both are non chorus networks, and some small providers starting out have stuck to chorus areas only. Dunedin is a possible candidate too.

With the LFC's strictly enforcing their ETCs (and speculation Chorus are about to start enforcing theirs) it's pretty difficult for them to expand further with their current no contracts policy.

Not the case :) We're working on expanding to other parts of NZ. Can't give too many details just yet but stay tuned at the start of next year.

Good to hear it but I'm not sure I can wait that long...

That's fine (and expected) - but the ETC issue is a stumbling block when your marketing pitch is no term contacts. Every LFC is enforcing their ETCs, and word is Chorus will soon begin to enforce theirs.

Hmm. If you want to, feel free to send me a PM with a few more details and we'll see what we can do.
