Hi All,

First message in GeekZone.
I'm just moved to a new house at Karekare, this is a remote location.
I asked to Bigpipe to connect me with ADSL, the previous tenant had a Spark ADSL, the sync signal is still there (but no internet access), show me a 3800kbps and 48db on my Spark modem.
But unfurtunatly Bigpipe said that Chorus said the DSL is not available at my place, that crazy, my direct neighbors has a Spark adsl too...
I tried to ask Spark the ASID of the line,  I have the previous phone number and name of the previous tenant, but they don't know/want/have this...

I post this message to have more ideas from other people, what going on here ???

If Bigpipe can't find my line, I plan to go to Spark with an open term contract and then migrate to Bigpipe, maybe it will be easy to find me with an active connection.

regards,

Is it a port waiter situation, where that connection has now been reserved for the next person on the list?

Funny thing is Chorus didn't report a port waiter, but service not capable because ADSL is not available at location.

It could potentially be that BUBA is available at the address but not EUBA (have a look at this thread that explains the differences between the two if you're not familiar with that). We provide our Fast and Basic plans to customers where EUBA is available but not BUBA.

Additionally, as mentioned above, it could also be a long term port waiter.

Either way, feel free to PM me your email address and I'd be happy to have a look in to it for you :)

Cheers

I forwarded you some informations on your job address DarkShadow, and one of your colleague already forward them to chorus.
Hope this will be sufficient to find me :-)
But the Bigpipe support seems never sleep :-D

Finally the connection have been done !
Chorus send someone with a probe at home to find my line at the exchange.
The Bigpipe support is very reactive and has always kept me informed, they can be proud of that.
Time to enjoy my new line !
