We have had a US Netflix account since way before Netflix came to NZ. I've never got round to changing it to NZ and we are still currently paying monthly in US$.

We're eligible for the Spark Netflix offer and we wish to take it up. I've just been on Spark's chat-line and they told me that I can get the 12-month NZ$ credit applied to my US Netflix account.

I may well be wrong but intuitively this doesn't quite sound right to me - does anyone know anything about this or had any experience with it?

Netflix does not care, it will just go to the account with your email.

1 account covers the world for netflix, it's just broken down to local currency for each area.

As above, it is one account on netflix's side, can be applied.

If you're considering changing to a $NZ billed account you can cancel your US one, let the membership expire then resign and you'll be billed in $NZ and your watch list, etc, will still be intact.

Wouldn't this make it easy for Netflix to realise your access a us account outside the us?
