G'day, A good friend of mine has a Sierra Wireless USB modem, they live in a rural area and broadband isn't available. Anyway, they have full signal and everything is normal but when they try to connect it drops the signal. Telecome have tested the line etc. and everything is fine at there end (apparently). Anyone else had the same or a similar problem? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

IS the user getting EVDO, if so set the card to EVDO - TOOLS/OPTIONS/NETWORK

Also a YAGI antenna with an adaptor will boost the speed and connection 50% + depending on where they are, also a wilson direct connect amplifier will boost it even more and create a more stable connection.

IF the user is in 1X coverage only it may be slow. Where are they?
