Just wondering if anyone has a HTC Diamond on the XT network. Most advertised in America are the HSDPA 850 models so would have to import it. I am thinking of getting one as I am over my old Treo 700 and who knows how long I will be waiting for a good touch Windows Mobile device to be released by Telecom. All the ones they have have the full keyboard like the Treo where as I would prefer the screen size over the keyboard.

Specs on the diamond are here

The HTC Touch Diamond Pro, if sourced from a Telstra store/stockist in Australia will work on the XT network. Australian Telstra's Next Gen network is 850, exactly as the same as TelecomNZ's XT network.

The Diamond 2 hasnt been released as HSDPA 850 as far as I'm aware only 900. Looking about the Diamond seems to be the best HTC one that is compatable on XT at the mo and is pretty reasonable since its been out for a wee bit.

have played with my friends diamond, as i too was thinking of getting one, But i found the interface quite laggy and the touchflo thing is abit of a gimmic, in the end you are stuck with the same old crappy winmo menus.

The actual device is very nice, its the OS that lets it down.

... jst my 2 cents.
