A new cabinet has been installed 100 metres down the road. While they have shifted the phones over does anybody know how long before ADSL2 should appear?  I know its live because they have taken the old cabinet away.

Thanks for that! I'm in a similar situation, Chorus has just replaced the little green box a few hundred metres down the road with a shiney new cabinet, and yet I'm still connecting to the exchange (5Mbit sync rate).  Although I'm actually already connected via ADSL2 the site said I should be fully cabnetised by October.  Good news, although I would've hoped they could have done it a bit quicker than that! :P

My streets cabinet was done about 6 months ago and my modem was showing ADSL2 for about 2 weeks but still syncing at about 6mbit after they had put the cabinet in then just one day the sync rate jumped to 20mbit. Just reset your router every few days/weeks and im sure eventually you will get a nice sync like me (the cabinet on my street is about 200m from my house)

Open the spreadsheet on this page and look for your cabinet. If the Telecom site says October, it'll probably beSeptember or even August in actuality.

The Telecom site said April 2009 for my local cabinet. It was actually enabled on 18 January 2009, exactly as per the Chorus spreadsheet, when i viewed it as of December 2008. The Chrous spreadsheet is far more accurate than the Telecom website.

Thanks !!!! The Chorus spreadsheet said the 12th August and at 10.30 this morning the cable guy was switching the feed over. Had a look inside the cabinet very interesting. Spped went from 1.86 mb/s to 6.5mb/s. I am on the Go large plan hence why it hasn't goon to ADSL 2 speeds.
