Hi all

need some advice
My flatmate has a line with Orcon at the mo
I want to put it under my name and move it to Telecom as we want to keep the same number.

Anyone know the easiest way to do this?
Can I just call Telecom and ask them to move it over to me or would I have to put the line under my name with Orcon first than call Telecom?

Probably put it under your name first, then transfer it to Telecom. That way when you contact Telecom to change it over you can say that you are the account holder.

Just give Telecom a call on 123. What name that ends up on the Telecom account is a house keeping matter for Telecom, with no need for Orcon to know who is the Telecom account holder.

You will however need to supply the Orcon account name and number, along with concent to move from Orcon from the current account holder.

At leasts thats my understanding, however Telecom will be able to advise.
