I moved home over the weekend and with this my Telecom homeline and Broadband.
I had specified the date/times to disconnect and reconnect at the new property however I didnt have high hopes of actually being online the day of moving given previous experiences.

I was contacted several times by the Chorus tech (Moyo).  Initially when I tested the phoneline at his request I experienced the disconnected tone.  Moyo said he would come back and sort it out.  I was not much help given I was between properties most of the day but he contacted me again that afternoon and said it should be sorted.

Arriving back and my new property I was happy to hear the right tone on the phone and pleasantly surprised that after plugging in my ADSL everything worked.

Moyo texted me that night to check all was working.  Great customer service!

Overall I was very happyt at how smoothly this went.  Congrats Telecom.

always nice to hear a good news story on this forum.

I'm curious, why do you have Telecom homeline and BB if you are a vodafone employee? Don't they give it to you for free or heavily subsidised as a perk?

Says something about Vodafone doesn't it?

Anyway, I've always had good service from Chorus techs

Thanks for taking the time to give Telecom some great feedback. I'll be passing this feedback onto the team.

Not to hijack your thread or anything but I'm just on the phone to Telecom now organising the same thing as we're moving on the 23rd.

Given it's a new property he has to put in a request to confirm we can get broadband. I checked telecomwholesale.co.nz/maps the other day and it appears the property should be connected to a cabinet so hopefully the check comes through OK. I'd be pissed if I couldn't get broadband in Khandallah!

I'm on hold now as he was having difficulty obtaining a new phone # for me, not a huge issue.
