Ok, folks, got the first confirmation of the new sponsorship.

Auckland event goes will get free beer sponsored by Monteiths and its new website Worth Talking Over!

This is in addition to the bar tab sponsored by Telecom New Zealand and Data centre limited.

I am still talking to the other venues to confirm the Monteiths sponsorship in each of the other event.

As usual, please visit our sponsors to show our thanks!

Not unlimited - that would be a direct pipe to the brewery and we don't have time to dig!

Seriously, it's a couple of kegs of free beer in each venue (still waiting confirmation the pubs will allow this in WLG and CHC but AKL is confirmed). Then we start drinking from the bar tabs generously sponsored by Telecom New Zealand (WLG, AKL, CHC) and Data Centre Ltd (AKL).

Whoever complained last year was too dry...

Reminds me of the advertising claim of a booze cruise I caught down the Zambezi River

I can't wait for Saturday and as pointed out yes Friday could be something to celebrate with a Pheonix win and confirmed semifinal. Lets hope they can bag a home semi too that would be awesome. Go the Pheonix and Bring on Saturday (early evening start for me) heading in around 4pm (still deciding how although the extra sponsor (in Monteiths) may have tipped the scales to a train ride (of course stumbling home through the Naenea train station is not really something i would say i would look forward too so could be a late bus back to Avalon for me.

Is there any chance you can increase the head count beyond 60 for Auckland (without breaching any fire / safety restriction imposed by the venues) and without blowing out the Pizza budget?

I know the answer would be No - but no harm asking!
